Highway Safety

The Vermont Center for Justice Research partners with the Vermont Governor’s Highway Safety Program to analyze traffic safety in Vermont. The Center annually publishes the Vermont Crash Data Resource Book and the Vermont DUI Statistical Resource Book. Both books analyze traffic safety, crash data and DUI data from a variety of data sources including the Vermont Agency of Transportation, law enforcement agencies statewide, Vermont District Courts, and the Vermont Department of Health. The Center is also responsible for conducting Vermont’s annual Seatbelt Compliance study each year.
