Warmth Is a Starting Point.
Help Our Neighbors Most at Risk Keep Warm This Winter
For people experiencing homelessness or housing instability, a Vermont winter can be more than uncomfortable. Without adequate clothing or shelter, freezing temperatures can be dangerous—even life-threatening.
Many of the people served by Vermonters for Criminal Justice Reform (VCJR) face these circumstances, including people returning to the community after incarceration who have lost their housing and personal belongings.
You can help.
Your contribution to VCJR's Winter Warmth Fund will help purchase warm coats, gloves, hats, socks, hand warmers, cold-weather sleeping bags, tents, and other essential supplies for people who need them most.
A warm coat won't solve every problem. But when you have nowhere warm to go, warmth is an essential starting point.
